Connecting California’s Future Together
YES on Assembly Bill 470 – Modernizing California Law to Ensure Reliable, Fast and Affordable Communications For All
All Californians deserve reliable, fast and affordable communications options – no matter who you are, where you live, or why you need to be connected. But outdated laws result in massive investments in aging technology that consumers are increasingly abandoning because they do not meet their needs.
Supported by a broad, bipartisan coalition, Assembly Bill 470 will reform the state’s Carrier of Last Resort (COLR) policy to accelerate investments in modern communications options, while ensuring no Californian or community is left behind during the transition.
AB 470 will move California forward, protecting consumers, preserving access to essential voice services, strengthening public safety and preparing the state for the future.
